Konstfack Student Union
We are the students’ voice at Konstfack!
Our purpose is to promote student interests and work towards a more inclusive Konstfack. We do this by appointing student representatives to all committees and boards at Konstfack, supporting student initiatives, hosting events for students and helping you with support and advice if you face discrimination at the school.
Student representative roles
Every year we elect student representatives for various councils of Konstfack to give the students a voice on every level of the school`s decisions.

You are interested in joining a council? Contact us in the beginning of the school year.

You participate in the planning and coordination of a better work environment and prevention of accidents or health risks related to organisational or social conditions in the work environmentat Konstfack.

You are responsible for the quality of education and research. Responsible for analyzing and prioritizing research and education plans, submitting proposals of subject areas for certain positions.

Works with the Education and Research Board and has dialogue around Konstfack’s quality policy to improve the work around quality and implement it in the school’s operations.

Two times a year, students and teachers at Konstfack can apply for scholarships from the different foundations that Konstfack administrates. The board goes through the applications and decides who gets what.

You work with turning Konstfack into a more diverse and inclusive place that a wider part of society wants to study at.

The disciplinary board evaluates complaints around plagiarism or sexual harassment or other conflicts and has the ability to speak out warnings or suspending student or staff.
Students have the possibility to participate with 2 representatives.

Is a discussion forum for long term planning at Konstfack where all Heads of Department (and Research) are present to support the Vice-Chancellor in decision making.

The board consists of outside members who usually come from the culture and education sector. They vote on big questions like Konstfack’s operations, budgets, organisation and internal distribution of resources.

The Student Union Board gets a time slot to present urgent matters and progress.

You are handling the process when someone applies to become a teacher, professor, lecturer, assistant professor, or visiting professor.

There is subject council for each institution of a chair, teachers, students, and representatives from the professional world. Here, the content of the education, subject development, and research issues are discussed.

The program council is an advisory and preparatory body for decisions by the vice-chancellor, head of department, or education and research committee in matters concerning the content of teacher education (IBIS), subject development, and research, as well as decisions that affect the conditions for education and research. The program council is also responsible for coordinating teachers.
